Separation
In 'Separation', a Nepalese family gathers along the riverbank in a solemn ritual of farewell. The blurred forms capture both presence and impermanence, the figures softened into abstraction to embody the collective weight of grief - and passage of tradition. As they part from a loved one whose body is being returned to the elements through cremation, the motion within the image speaks to the fleeting and the transitional — life dissolving into memory, yet held together by family and ritual. Taken in 2024.
